Eko Morandi Smart Sensor Bin 12L

Aah, the kitchen (or bathroom) bin. An absolute necessity, of course, but if youd rather not handle the lid every time you need to throw something away or are fed up wrestling to keep your bins lid open when youre scraping plates into it Ekos super-hygienic Morandi Smart Sensor Bin automatically opens and closes it for you, so you dont have to get your hands dirty.

Infrared sensor opens and closes lid automatically

A little sensor panel in the rim senses when something like your hand, or a plate is within 20cm directly above it and automatically opens the lid. It then keeps the lid open while its still in range, and closes it when it doesnt sense anything for 5 seconds. Its like magic! Or, more accurately, science

On/off switch to keep it open for longer

You shouldnt have to use it very often, but if youre going back and forth to the bin and want it to stay open rather than opening and closing automatically every time and wearing the batteries down theres an on/off switch on the underside of the lid, so you can open the lid automatically the first time, then switch the sensor off so it stays open until youre done.
