Bear Liliput Oak/Maple 3.7″

Big icons. Small sizes. Under the heading of Liliput, you can now create original stories made of wood with three of Kay Bojesens famous wooden figures the Bear, the Elephant and the Hippo in an even smaller miniature size, where the smiling lines of the small miniature versions can’t help but bring out big smiles in everyone who loves classic Danish design. The Liliput Bear has a height of 9.5 cm and, like his bigger siblings, he stands ready with his characteristic open arms and friendly expression. Representing strength, courage and close family bonds, the Bear reminds us to stay true to ourselves and approach the world with kindness and an open heart. And even though its small, the Liliput Bear can still turn its head and move its arms so you can stand it up, sit or lay it down exactly as you like. The Bear in the Liliput edition has been created with the same craftsmanship, love and care that harks back to the beginning of the 50s, when Kay Bojesens bear figure was born. And the high quality of materials, design and finish also shines through in the three little Liliput friends. The wood remains untreated, and its inherent life, grains and characteristics come beautifully into their own in the FSC-certified oak and FSC-certified maple, which guarantees that the trees used in the production have been planted, cultivated and felled responsibly. The Liliput Bear, either alone or together with the Liliput Elephant and Liliput Hippo, is an obvious gift idea for anyone who appreciates the great craftsmanship that Kay Bojesen is known for whether its for a big anniversary or a small child’s birthday. Whether big, small, mini or Liliput, Kay Bojesens family of wooden animals has a very special appeal to children and adults alike. A wooden figurine is not a gift that is forgotten, but a dear friend that follows you throughout your life from your childhood bedroom to a home of your own as an adult. Only design icons of a certain calibre can do this without losing relevance.
